Equipment is collected from Untangled Living before your hire period begins. At the end of your hire, you can either:

• Return it in person to Untangled Living, or

• Use the pre-paid return postage satchel included with your hire for a simple, convenient return.

If you need your equipment for longer, simply get in touch before your hire period ends. Extensions are available subject to availability and are charged at $10 per additional week.

By blocking pain signals to the brain, our TENS will help you stay calmer for longer, reducing the need for pharmaceutical interventions and the associated risks. Research shows that TENS helps women have less pain and feel more in control, leading to empowered birth experiences.

Some private health funds may provide a rebate for the hire of a maternity TENS machine, depending on your level of cover. A receipt can be provided for you to submit to your health fund. As every policy is different, I recommend checking directly with your insurer before hiring.

I recommend booking your equipment from around 36 weeks of pregnancy to ensure it's ready well before your due date. As equipment is available in limited quantities, booking early is the best way to secure your preferred hire dates.

The Birth Sling is designed to support upright and active labour positions. It should always be used safely and within your own comfort level. 

Before using the Birth Sling, please ensure you:

• have a steady gait and can move safely without assistance
• are able to call for help if needed
• can comfortably support your own body weight

The Birth Sling should not be used:

• if you have ruptured membranes before your baby's head is engaged
• if you have unstable blood pressure, balance or altered consciousness
• if you have been advised to remain on bed rest

The Birth Sling is not designed to be used as a swing, and your full body weight should not be suspended from it at any time.

As with any birth support equipment, use is at your own discretion and should be discussed with your maternity care provider if you have any concerns.

The Birth Sling is made from durable Nylon Tricot fabric and has a maximum load capacity of 200 kg.

This depends on your chosen birth setting and your care provider. If you're planning to use the Birth Sling in hospital or a birth centre, I recommend discussing it with your midwife beforehand.
